Motivation of first year cadets for physical education and sports in the context of improvement physical training

The article presents the results of a survey of first - year cadets (63 boys and 83 girls) of the university of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on their attitude to physical education and sports. The development of motor abilities, health promotion are the main motive for exercise. An insufficient assessment of cadets motives related to future professional activities was revealed. This is the development of professionally important applied skills, psychophysical qualities, the acquisition of knowledge on physical training in order to use them for independent training.
