This article advertises that the tendency to revive the past is a deep requirement of poetic being. The phenomenon of memory and forgetfulness is a peculiarity of Russian poetry. The more the poet becomes mature, the more intensify his attachment to the past. The heart's memory is life-giving and fascinating, but the mind's memory is sobering and disappointing and destroys the inspiring illusion. Heart’s memory is a fount of sentimental pathos in Kunyaev’s lyric. Kunyaev’s memory not only holds and retains the past but also opens the new meanings and promises in it and in the present both. The poet appreciates the feelings and emotions that empathize into his soul from the childhood or from his infancy. The original words, feelings and motives can be displaced from the sphere of the efficient marks and living will, but at some internal moment of life the memory revives they and you find out that they are relevant. Kunaev's memory is able to revive the past not only spiritually and internally, but it can also recognize that the past reproduced in a strange experience and destiny. Despite of this Kunyaev’s hero experiences the gracious human condition which returns to the primogeniture moment, to the day of creation. That achieves by metaphysical efforts and metaphysical forgetfulness manipulation and not because of primal oblivion and delirium. S. Kunaev in his works approves the great energy of memory, its emotional and psychological potential. The genuine core of Kunaev's esthetics and ideology opens before us in the phenomena of memory and forgetfulness.
