Modernity is actively exploiting the terms “digit” and “digitalization”, which have become a requirement of social order and actively “intruded” into the educational process. Concepts, reflecting time, not only characterize, but also constitute it, as well as the phenomena signified by them. Educational institutions of various levels are involved in the work with new technologies, actively using their potential. Digitalization of education, when the usual framework for organizing the educational process is expanding and significantly transforming. Society sets before education as a fundamental social institution the task of forming digital competence that allows a person to be. However, informational technologies have rapidly “burst” into our lives, not so significantly changing its content, compared with the discoveries and inventions of the past, they only change its forms everywhere. However, form often wins out over content. Society, represented by the state, forces a person to enter the world of “digits”, and the list of places for its “penetration” is steadily expanding. At the same time, there is another side of this process that we do not notice and/or do not want to notice yet, because “smart” gadgets take on a lot and force society and a person to obey themselves. Society and man become plastic, transparent and fragile. The (post)man is gradually formed. The author proposes to find out what he is like and how much he follows a person, since there is a post prefix. To achieve this goal, there is an appeal to the understanding of digitalization as the basis for the formation of a posthuman. The article deals with the phenomenon of digitalization as a new form of being of society and a person, which is nothing more than a technological product that has received the features of a political and ideological construct. The basis of digitalization itself is a figure or an ancient number that describes the world and acts only as a way of presenting information. However, the figure is becoming a universal sign-symbol of modernity, bringing significant changes, constructing and “assembling” the world in a special way. It becomes countable and packed into numerous databases and directories. The spirit of free choice and independent decision is born, which in fact is a simulacrum of freedom. Techniques and technologies created by man provide him not only unlimited opportunities, but also the choice to be the subject or object of activity.
