MSCT colonography in diagnostics of cancer and colon polyps

Data of a multi-slice computer tomography of an abdominal cavity and the virtual colonoscopy of 55 patients with morphologically verified cancer of a colon and 26 patients with adenomatous polyps are analysed. The virtual colonoscopy with modern software, abstersive preparation and marking of residual intestinal contents is the precise tool for identification of colorectal lesions. The integrated analysis of images of the virtual colonoscopy with multiplanar reconstruction allows to carry out precise topical diagnostics of new lesions and to reveal metastatic defeats.
