On the basis of the idea of the hierarchy of matter movement forms, modern science believes society is a part of universe which is qualitatively different from the biological world. The laws of biological world are viewed as atavism by society. However, society has existed for thousands of years, while life is millions and billions of years old. Life is a much older phenomenon than society and has developed quite efficient adaptation mechanisms in the process of evolution. The article points out the examples of progressive operation of biological laws in society, in which social attitudes become a hindrance. Thus, in the conditions of strict stratification the mechanism of hereditary information transfer degrades, often leading to the degeneration of ruling dynasties. Sacralization of power is also evident of an attempt to freeze social and biological evolution. The article comes to the conclusion that social laws must be based on biological regularities, but be qualitatively superior to them.
