The paper discusses an oscillatory system with homogeneous elements, namely, n massive loads (multi-inert oscillator). It shows the possibility for free harmonic oscillations to appear in such a system. Unlike the classical pendulum, whose oscillations are due to the mutual conversion of the kinetic energy of the load into the potential energy of the spring, in a multi-inert oscillator, oscillations are due to the mutual conversion of solely kinetic energies of the loads.
