Multimedia publications in the library: principles of creation and development methodology

The article is devoted to the theoretical and practical aspects of the publishing activity of libraries, which in modern conditions must be built taking into account the specifics of the social environment and the needs of potential users. On the example of the analysis of the training course “Electronic Publications in Libraries”, which became part of the All Russian project “Good People”, the author considers the conceptual issues of creating multimedia publications, as well as the stages of their development. The article contains methodological material aimed at developing the skills of creating a scenario for a multimedia publication, preparing a technical task for its production. In conclusion, the author concludes that publishing skills are highly relevant for library specialists, as they contribute to the development of their creative potential and increase the level of professional competencies. The material of the article can be used in the process of basic and additional education of library specialists in order to form their competencies in the field of publishing.
