Multimedia technologies in the student self-study work in foreign languages teaching

Revision of tasks in language teaching demands new approaches to teaching foreign languages with an emphasis on the self-study work. The author analyses the problem of using innovational technologies to built up the student's ability to improve their knowledge quickly and adequately. The dominant method is recognised to be a problem oriented education on the basis of multimedia technologies enabling a learner to form foreign language skills independently.
