Provincial museums as a means of patriotic education of future teachers (the case of Shadrinsk, Kurgan region)

This author summarizes the experience of using the funds of the museums of a provincial town during extracurricular time on the history of Russia. The role of museums in the patriotic education of future teachers is considered. The method of organizing visits to the house-museum, local history museum, theater museum, museums of educational institutions and factories is disclosed. Interesting forms of museum work can be not only sightseeing tours, but also round tables specially organized on the basis of museums, quest games, exhibitions, games, etc. The issues of organizing the educational process at the university using museum funds are considered. The author used the method of analyzing the content and form of educational work of museums, survey methods, interviews, generalizations, and systematization. One of the areas of work of students of a pedagogical university is search and research activities.
