The article presents the use of information resources in the implementation of lectures in the military-patriotic work of the museum “The Battle of Stalingrad”, the specifics of the presentation of multimedia lectures for different categories of visitors, the requirements for electronic educational resources used in lectures in the implementation of the ideas of museum pedagogy. The visualising lecture helps in the perception of material on the history of the Battle of Stalingrad: it can significantly improve the learning of educational material through PowerPoint and flash presentations. In contrast to the PowerPoint presentation, which is based on slides, graphic and audio-visual means in their compositional unity, flash presentations show the audience an interesting interactive film with sound and animation. When writing the text of a lecture for foreign tourists, it is necessary to take into account the specifics of the presentation of the material when using information resources: it is advisable to organise lectures based on foreigners’ national traditions, mentality, taking into account their gender and ethnocultural characteristics, their abilities and differences. For groups of international students mixed in national composition, who want not only to get acquainted with the culture and history of our country, but also to learn Russian, lectures are given in Russian; English is used as an intermediary language. In this article, the author describes the current direction in the work of museums: the development and implementation of lectures for various categories of visitors. This makes “The Battle of Stalingrad” museum a key element in educating adults, students and schoolchildren: all who seek systematic knowledge on the history of the Battle of Stalingrad, who want to better navigate in historical processes. The topics of the lectures are selected so that they broaden visitors’ horizons and increase the level of their general erudition, which contributes to a better and more meaningful development of knowledge of history and strengthening of motivation for further learning. Modern schoolchildren and students belong to Generation Z; they use tablets, VR and 3D reality, consider the global network as an accessible source of information, an environment for communication and leisure activities. In this regard, there is a need for additional research on changing lectures and their adaptation to the needs and requirements of this category of visitors.
