The multi-layer of rapidly increasing challenges and threats to the preservation and development of man, mankind, the biosphere and the technosphere (digital reality) of the last decades has led to interdisciplinarity, polydisciplinarity and transdisciplinary processes that have swept the entire set of cognitive practices of modern culture. An objective analysis of the data from this cluster of studies shows that it is transdisciplinarity that largely determines the most innovative trends in the development of modern culture. Generating the foundation for the convergence of a wide variety of cognitive practices, techniques and technologies, as well as the study of complex cognitive phenomena and conceptual constructions, transdisciplinarity conditions the ever-growing need for a purposeful search for reflexive foundations and systematization of the methodological principles of the subject's creative and cognitive activity, which has led to a shift in the focus of attention to problems of reflection of cognitive activity in the field of specific sciences and epistemology.
