The article discusses the relevance of the use of musical and rhythmic gymnastics in preschool educational institutions. The author defines the concepts of "musical-rhythmic gymnastics" and "daily routine". The problem of insufficient knowledge of the process of organizing musical and rhythmic gymnastics in the day mode of preschoolers is highlighted. The author lists various forms of performing musical and rhythmic gymnastics and their features. The article presents the structure of physical exercises of musical and rhythmic gymnastics for preschoolers. The requirements for the choice of musical accompaniment of rhythmic gymnastics are highlighted. The author describes the features of performing exercises of musical and rhythmic gymnastics. The diagnosis of the development of musical and rhythmic movements is presented. The article lists the main indicators of musical and rhythmic development of preschool children (3-4, 4-5, 5-6 years). The author has developed a complex of musical and rhythmic gymnastics for the song "Chunga-Changa". The necessary skills of a preschool teacher in the organization of musical and rhythmic gymnastics are noted.
