National choreography in China: its history and semantics

The analysis of developing the Chinese national choreography reveals a polysemantic and multifunctional character of the folk dance culture. Its spiritual, moral and philosophic potential is based on the preserved archaic mythic and ritual views as well as innovative tendencies as a result of historic dynamics and intercultural relations.
