The article discusses the theoretical foundations of the principle of visibility, presents the classification of visual aids, defines their place in the process of teaching the Russian language in a modern school, and also proposes an algorithm for creating and using an individual visual aid. In the course of the study, the traditional form of one of the teaching means is presented in a new aspect.
