One of the most important tasks of national importance is the active fight against criminals. For each person who has violated the law and committed an illegal act, an appropriate punishment is provided, which will fully correspond to the degree of his guilt and the nature of the crime committed. However, in some cases, it is not easy to determine the penalty. This applies to situations where minor children are involved in the commission of a crime. But even in this case, the perpetrators will be held accountable for their actions. The importance of compulsory work, in particular for minors, lies in the educational nature of the punishment, the moral impact on the offender. So, while serving a sentence at the place of residence, performing work that is not particularly attractive for a teenager, for example, cleaning garbage in the yard, a minor can be seen by friends, acquaintances, classmates, neighbors, which can affect the further formation of a positive legal consciousness. At the same time, the appointment of mandatory work provides an opportunity for a teenager to improve without isolation from society. Also, this type of punishment indirectly affects other teenagers, who can observe how the convicted person is serving his sentence. Thus, through criminal punishment, not only the function of retribution is realized, but also the function of preventing further crimes.
