Tax and customs terminology of the Uzbek language: a retrospective journey

International cooperation in the fields of politics, economics and education highlights the problems of terminology. The development of national professional terminology in various fields and industries, the unification of terms contributes to international cooperation. As it is well known, the origins of the tax and customs sphere go back to the first trade relations. In historical documents, scientific treatises and works of fiction, one can find many facts related to the emergence, broadening and enrichment of tax and customs vocabulary in the languages of the world, and, in particular, in the Uzbek language. At present, the tax and customs terminology of the Uzbek language is still not systematized, this fact significantly complicates the work with it. This article provides an overview of the sources of terms in this field, and considers ways to update the terminology.
