The areas of civic education of higher school students in the conditions of globalization: experience of the Republic of Azerbaijan

The article touches upon a topical issue of civic education of university students in the conditions of prevalent trends of globalization. Knowledge, faith and work are considered as components of civic education. The model of "an exemplary citizen" is presented. The author emphasizes the importance of proper use of education methods, compliance with the laws of logic in the development of students - conscious citizens. The paper suggests the directions and the ways of higher school students' civic qualities development in the Azerbaijan Republic, with the focus on the keeping students' interest in the national history and culture, involvement in social and political activities.
