Disturbances of perception of English radio-telephony communication messages by Russian-speaking pilots

The results of the experiment with acting Russian-speaking pilots allow to define the inventory of disturbances in their perceiving English radio-telephony messages, as well as to account for the corresponding communicative failures. The emphasis is laid on their professionally specific perception within the «downwards» scheme with the prime focus on the general meaning instead of grammatical or sound aspects of the message.
