The article raises the social problem of the use of artificial intelligence in public life, reveals the specifics of its implementation and application. The work analyzes the possibility of artificial intelligence (AI) acquir-ing the status of an alternative subject, hypotheses are put forward about what rights in this case can be granted to AI, whether they can be granted at all, and why. The author studies the issue of the place of artificial intelligence in modern society and the prospects for its coexistence with people. The article puts forward far-reaching hypotheses that with the development of AI, neural networks, their acquisition of subjectivity, the question of the responsibility of AI (or their manufacturers) may arise, which will entail the need to develop not only control mechanisms, but also penalties for AI or software restrictions in actions, which will call into question the freedom of these subjects.
