The scientific library of the union of theatrical figures as the translator of cultural heritage

In article the sociocultural nature of library as establishments of memory, institute of cross-cultural communications and information exchange reveals. Special attention is paid to specifics of this kind of library, as theatrical, created by the All-Russian theatrical society which was transformed to the Union of theatrical figures subsequently. In the field of research attention of the author - familiarizing of members of society with “cumulative theatrical culture” through book and other printing editions, a contribution of the memoirs and theatrical commissions to formation of unique fund of library which main function was a preservation of historical memory, ensuring continuity of generations. Prepared for the forthcoming anniversary of library, article opens the new page of domestic theatrical culture.
