Scientific expertise as a means of improving the quality of legislation

This scientific article examines scientific expertise of legislation. The existing positions of domestic and foreign legal scholars on this type of expertise of legislation are analyzed. It also highlights the legal consolidation of scientific expertise in the legislation of the Russian Federation. The conclusion about the weak elaboration of the examined type of expertise in the legal regulation is formed. The conclusion about the role of scientific expertise of legislation is made and the author's definition of the examined expertise is offered.
