Scientific and theoretical problems legal regulation of the protection of human honor and dignity

The article outlines the scientific, theoretical and regulatory issues of protecting the honor and dignity of a person. It is shown that these problems are largely due to the ambiguity of the authors' interpretations of the understanding of the honor and dignity of a person. As a result, the legislator does not define these terms in the official texts of regulatory legal acts, which cannot but complicate the legal regulation of the protection of these values of society. It is proposed to understand honor and dignity by the spiritual and moral values of a person, the property of his psyche and its manifestation in human behavior, respectively. The conclusion is made about the need for a comprehensive scientific study of the terminological apparatus on human honor and dignity in order to consolidate their respective definitions in the texts of regulatory legal acts, and to develop a mechanism for legal regulation of their protection.
