Research text: linguistic and cognitive approach

The article investigates the use of a linguistic and cognitive approach to research text analysis. A corpus-based research into lexis of texts in programming is undertaken which results in frequency wordlists and a concise English dictionary for students in programming with general, scientific and terminological layers of lexis defined. Principles of constructing a domain ontology on the basis of the terminological layer are advanced. A fragment of a programming ontology is presented. The perspectives of further research and application of the results obtained are discussed.
