Science and philosophy of the modern times in the grip of “cellular power” of tables: models, metaphors, analogies

The article analyses the epistemological role of the table and the tabular method in the development of European philosophy since the Early Modern Times until the present day. In particular, the author considers the attempts of the tabular structuring of the philosophical knowledge by some thinkers, as well as the philosophical conclusions arising from such attempts. The author also discusses historical examples of criticism of the tabular approach as an effective way of philosophical issues addressing.
