Informal social practices on the example of internal affairs bodies investigators’ activities

The article delves into the peculiarities of informal social practices of police investigators serving in the internal affairs bodies (IAB) of Russia. The author points out that there are differences between the proper behavior of IAB officers and the logic of organizing their daily social practices. In this article, the author’s position is justified by appealing to the works of microsociologists who studied the specifics of the genesis of everyday life of various social groups, as well as an empirical study conducted in the first half of 2024 on the territory of Kuban (questionnaires, in-depth interviews). In conclusion, it is posited that one of the potential reasons for the manifestation of informal social practices among IAB investigators is the inability to consistently meet the demands of the current legislation of the Russian Federation due to high workloads.
