The negative consequence of urban sprawl

In the modern world, the problem of urban expansion is becoming more and more acute. The article considers the role of urban sprawl and the negative consequences of this process for the environment, economy and society. Due to the lack of a single definition of "urban sprawl", a number of definitions by different authors are analysed. The article also considers the prerequisites, factors and forms of urban expansion.
