Some aspects of the image of Jerusalem in the revelation of Saint Apostle John the Theologian

The article examines the history of the development of the image of Jerusalem in the Old Testament and New Testament literature. Analyzed sections of the Book of 240 Revelation describes the earthly Jerusalem and the Church as his alternative, as well as the vision of the New Jerusalem — the center of a new universe.
