Some aspects of migration policy of the Russian Federation and the USA: a comparative analysis

In the context of globalization, migration from the category of a socio-economic phenomenon turns into a political one. In this regard, solving the problems of migration processes, as well as improving migration legislation are becoming one of the most important tasks in ensuring the national security of any state. Migration policy in this aspect is becoming an effective tool for regulating migration processes. This article is devoted to a comparative analysis of the migration policies of the Russian Federation and the United States, as states with the largest number of migrants. The authors highlight the key differences between the migration policies of the states under consideration, formulate some recommendations for improving Russian legislation in this area.
