Some aspects of the legal regulation of the institute of the committeder for human rights

The scientific article deals with the issues of legal regulation of the institution of the commissioner for human rights (ombudsman) at the federal level and at the level of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Proposals are made to update the regulatory framework for the activities of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation in accordance with international legal acts and to assign a number of new powers to the federal ombudsman. Certain problematic aspects of the regional legal regulation of the activities of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the constituent entity of the Russian Federation are identified and measures are proposed to eliminate them. In particular, the problem of realizing the rights of the regional ombudsman to take measures to protect and restore the rights and freedoms of man and citizen is considered.
