This article examines the procedural evaluation of victim testimony and its evidentiary significance in criminal proceedings. Since victim statements reflect a subjective perception of the criminal event, they require careful assessment in terms of reliability, completeness, and consistency. Their objective value emerges only in correlation with other evidence in the case. The study provides a comparative analysis of national and foreign legislation to define the role and functions of victim testimony within the system of evidence. The conclusions and practical recommendations presented may contribute to improving investigative and judicial practice.
