Some issues of the study of language gaps in the field of Kyrgyz linguistics

The article deals with some issues related to one of the important problems in the field of translation theory, namely the theory of gaps. In particular, some concepts proposed by linguists in the field of Kyrgyz linguistics regarding theoretical models and methods for adequate translation of non-equivalent vocabulary are considered. At the same time, the problems associated with the principles of classification of lacunae, which remain little studied problems to date, are analyzed. In accordance with the theoretical problems under consideration, language illustrations were given, in which there are gaps, which were translated from Kyrgyz into Russian, by using different methods. In particular, on the example of specific linguistic facts, such methods of translating lacunae as elimination, compensation, transcription, transliteration, tracing, descriptive translation, creation of analogue correspondences, concretization and generalization are considered.
