Some organizational issues of continuing professional education in the system of the investigative committee of the Russian Federation

The article deals with the institution of continuing professional education in the system of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. The study proves its necessity for the stable and effective functioning of the investigation body, identifies the main tasks of the postgraduate education. In addition, the article examines the major tasks of continuing professional education in the system of the Investigative Committee of Russia, taking into account the quality and level of training of law graduates and the requirements of society and government for the modern investigator. The authors identify the ways of improving the initial training of the investigator, his introduction to the professional field in order to reduce an adaptation period. The paper focuses on the close interaction between the system of continuing professional education and HR units of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation to establish an efficient and highly professional personnel reserve. Based on the actual practices of the Department for Advanced Training, the authors provide recommendations for improving the system of postgraduate education in the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
