The article examines various deviations from the literary norm that have a symbolic nature. It analyzes the absurd poems of postmodernist poets, the main feature of which is grotesque, absurdity, aberration of the literary norm, which are embedded in the structure of the text. Poetry is comparable to the norm by the principle of uncertainty (by analogy, “information” = “negentropy”) and differs from the latter by a multitude of abnormalities (absurdities). The negative sign (negation) in the semiosis of a poetic text becomes an ordinary means of deriving meaning, and double negation becomes an exceptional means for revealing the conceptual features of difficult-to-formulate concepts, such as “poetry”. Methodologically, it would be logical to attribute our research to the method of apophatic analysis, which, along with the approximation method, allows us to approach the Object as an Image (the concept of “Poetry”) consistently. The attempt to formalize “knowledge” about “poetry” is of a purely instrumental methodological nature, representing the poetic text as some ideal entity with a high degree of uncertainty. The expectation of poetry is a leitmotif with a question mark that arises as a result of such absurdities. The search for an answer leads to the reconstruction of the historical plan and prototext. Despite the well-known place of rhyme in the semiosis of a poetic text, its resource allows it to remain one of the most important elements of poetic euphony. Absurdity, a derogatory metaphor, grammatical, lexical and other speech errors made intentionally are signs of another, hidden sense.
