Evelyn Sharp (1869-1955) was a prominent British author and social activist, active in the women’s suffrage and pacifist movements of the early 20th century. The article describes the main milestones of her life, the factors that shaped her social stance, and the features of her writing that reveal her beliefs. Special attention is given to her memoirs, specifically her trip with the Quaker mission to the famine-stricken Volga region in 1922.
