Indefinite-personal sentence in the syntactic structure of the poem "The second ballad" by Boris Pasternak

This article explores the significance of the initial position of an indefinite-personal sentence in the interpretation of a poetic work. An indefinite-personal sentence covers the sphere of action within the text most extensively, it shapes the work’s meaning dynamically due to the presence of a determinant that is predisposed to semantic decomposition. The unnamed agentive subject is being progressively specified which becomes a means of complicating the poetic structure. The text is constructed around uncovering this subject up to the extent suitable or sought for the author. This process is determined by the author’s writing goals.
