The paper focuses on ways to verify literary text untranslatability. Traditionally, as linguistic approach says, the indicators that show this thesis are lexical units of two kinds: the ones of unique cultural semantics and the others of the author’s unique worldview. The author suggests searching for verification in a semiosis preverbal part when interpreting decodes the original intention of the message. To get that done the implied substance hidden under a word is to be discrete as associative images, cognitive generalizations, typical scripts and axiological affection (classification suggested by A. Zalevskaya). While translating, the reader could explicate them in mind, consequently, understand to which extent they are translatable. The example to show the approach is the poem «The Nomad's Star» by B. Dugarov and its irrelevant translation into English.
