Continuous education of employees as a requirement of innovative economy

The article examines how today the labour legislation regulates the issue of educating employees: the first one, or on the one based on the first education, or within the framework of advanced training and professional retraining. In addition, guarantees and compensations that the employer must provide to employees combining their work with education are discussed. It is important to note that these norms are considered through the prism of the emerging innovative economy and actively developing the information society. The author determines the place currently occupied by education in determining the success of not only the employee, but also the employer. A number of norms of the Labour Code of the Russian Federation are singled out, which do not satisfy the needs of the modern labour market. The article reveals the need to improve labor legislation in the field of obtaining an education by an employee. Specific proposals have been made to introduce amendments to a number of articles of the Labour Code of the Russian Federation.
