Neuropsychic disordes in cancer patients (treatment and rehabilitation aspects)

The analysis of the efficacy of treatment and rehabilitation programs including psychopharmacological and psychotherapeutic approaches applied to 20 cancer patients has been presented. The programs were designed for the purpose to control neuropsychic disorders. During a special treatment, elimination of all psycopathological disorders (level A) occurred in 3,4 % of the patients, significant improvement of psychic state (level B) was observed in 9,3 % cases, incomplete recovery (level C) in 59,3 % and slight improvement of psychic state (level D) in 28,0 %. For the patients who received palliative therapy, the level C was achieved in 9,8 % of cases, slight improvement of psychic state (level D) was observed in 90,2 % of the patients. Clinicocatamnestic examination performed for cancer patients at the step of special treatment within 1-2 years also confirmed the efficacy of the complex treatmentrehabilitation programs.
