Juveniles in closed corrective institutions (social and psychological characteristics)

There have been discovered personality features of the offenders who are placed in a special school of a closed type for underage children; the article presents "the social portrait" of the contemporary teenagers who have committed crimes or administrative offences. It is shown, that the teenagers who have not adapted (after less than 6 months of imprisonment time) to the new conditions of everyday life activities show high anxiety, difficulties in activities, unsociability, social passivity, propensity to increased introspection, complexity in social adaptation, whereas the "adapted" children (having been in prison for more than 22 months) are characterized by stress resistance, activity, working capacity and spontaneity of behavior.
