Non-verbal theatre as a means of deaf artists’ communication

The article deals with the specificity of deaf people’s communication. There is reflected the characteristic of the theatre department of the Russian State Specialized Academy of Arts, that gives the opportunity for young people with hearing disorder to get higher education by the professional filed “the artist of theatre and cinema”. The role of the first festival-laboratory of non-verbal theatres and its educational value is demonstrated.
