Illegal logging of forest stands as a crime against the environment: problems of terminological definition

In the article analyses the current terminological problems arising in the context of the study of the content of Article 260 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which provides for criminal liability for illegal cutting of forest plantations. In particular, the problems of the definition of the term "forest" are analysed, as well as the definition of the corpus delicti, based on the definition of the terminological content of the word "cutting". The obtained conclusions are stated in the conclusion of the presented research.
