The article is devoted to a manuscript compiled probably in the 1920s by the Norwegian Bend Wall, who lived and traded on the coast of Chukotka from the beginning of the 20th century until his death in 1944. B.Wall describes trade in Chukotka at the beginning of the 20th century and changes in the life of the local population that occurred as a result of active contacts with American and Russian merchants. The manuscript is a valuable source for studying the socio-economic, cultural and everyday history of Chukotka at the beginning of the 20th century.
