The article discusses the latest studies of Vladimir Solovyov’s works in Germany, focusing on the book of Michael Bertram Altmaier «Vergottlichung bei Vladimir Solov’ev und Lev Tolstoj: Ein Dialog, der nie gefuhrt wurde». The author traces Altmaier’s analysis of the anthropological, Christological and eschatological aspects of religious and philosophical thought of Vladimir Solovyov and Leo Tolstoy. According to the author, Altmeier’s study suggests that the active reception of Solovyov’s philosophy by Catholic and Protestant circles of Germany that has been witnessed throughout the XX century continues today, allowing Germany to maintain a leading position in European studies of Russian philosopher’s heritage.
