New genetic interpretation of the proto-Slavic lexical stock: combined archaisms

The article analyzes dialects of the Slavonic language in vocabulary of Transbaikal Old Believers, containing layers of different chronological depths. We have analyzed the ancient vocabulary, which goes back directly to the pre-Slavic era. The investigated archaic linguistic phenomena are structurally conditioned; this allows typologizing the archaic dialect vocabulary. Lexical-phonetic, lexical-morphological, lexical-derivational, lexical-semantic, properly lexical archaisms of Proto-Slavic origin could be defined according to the considered aspect of the word (formal, semantic) and coverage of archaic phenomenon. The type of archaisms, which the researchers have not previously noted is of particular interest. These archaisms of pre-Slavic origin we distinguish in view of dialectal differences at the lexical level, where phonetic, grammatical, word-forming, semantic archaic features or their historical changes are present in various combinations.
