The securing of a decent life for an employee released from duty to work because of the introduction of new digital technologies and robotic application in the industry is possible through the creation of additional guarantees of social protection to him by the employer. One of the key issues of the modern economy is the determination of the source of income generation for the released employees, which would correspond to the level of human rights and freedoms achieved by the law today. The article investigates the problems of definition of terms “level of decent life”, “allowance for decent life” and what will be an appropriate economic and legal framework for establishing the minimum guaranteed income to support a decent life for a released person. In ongoing tax disputes, the employers assert their right to pay a redundancy payment to the released employees in amount that in a best way ensures the employees’ right to a decent life after separation from employment.
