New procedure for implementing the right of cassation appeal in criminal proceedings

The article draws attention to the innovations that have affected the cassation proceedings in criminal proceedings. The article considers some features of the functioning of two procedural procedures for appealing court decisions in cassation proceedings. Attention is paid to the opinions of prominent scientists about the innovations that have occurred in cassation proceedings. The authors draw their own conclusions based on the results of the analysis of the law, the opinions of prominent scientists and current judicial practice, about what positive and negative appeared and remained in the new cassation appeal procedure in criminal proceedings.
