A new mustard variety gorlinka with increased essential oil content

There is observed an extended interest of food and processing industry to raw seed with increased essential oil content the last years. The modern mustard varieties of VNIIMK's breeding contain 0.57-0.65% of essential oil. The new mustard variety Gorlinka is differed of the standard variety Slavyanka with increased (0.77%) content of essential oil in seeds. The variety Gorlinka has 3.08 t per ha seed yield, that is higher than that's one of the standard variety by 0.17 t per ha. Oil content of the new variety is 49.6% that is by 2.3% higher than the standard variety has. Oil produced from the seeds of the mustard variety Gorlinka belongs to food fats as this oil is erucic acid free.
