On the formation of professional competencies in the process of training sound engineers

This article continues the research in the field of vocational training. The author attempts to identify and characterize professionally significant qualities that form the basis of professional competencies of sound engineers. The article analyzes the concepts of competence and competence, and the concepts of professional qualities and activity characteristics that form their basis. A brief comparative analysis of the work of a sound engineer and a theater director is conducted. The management of technological aspects such as sound systems, acoustic systems and technologies is considered in the context of the skills of their practical application in integration with the activities of the creative team. Using the example of a performance based on Leo Tolstoy's novel "Resurrection", the features of the sound engineer's work are considered, their specificity is monitored, and a structural analysis is carried out. It briefly describes the plot of the play, the unconventionality of voicing an enclosed space. The practical aspects of the interrelation of professionally significant qualities of sound engineers with certain types of their activities are revealed, the basic skills of a specialist working with the acoustic space of the stage and auditorium, the regularity and interdependence of the operation of sound transmission and sound reinforcement facilities are described. Based on the analysis, a conclusion is drawn about the categories and professional qualities that form the basis of professional competencies. Among the fundamental categories of activity that determine the essence, content and necessary conditions that affect the development of professionally significant qualities of sound engineers, the author highlights the technique of working with the acoustic space of the stage and auditorium, the regularity and interdependence of the operation of sound transmission and sound reinforcement, as well as the professional and ethical interaction of the sound engineer with representatives of the creative team. The ways of solving the tasks of forming the professional competence of sound engineers through a variety of educational, practical, online and interactive forms of classes in cultural institutions are determined.
