On the formation of the probation system in Russia

In Russia, almost half of the prisoners, after serving their sentences, commit crimes again and return to places of detention. The probation system is designed to solve this problem. The article is devoted to the formation of a probation system, which represents a wide range of social and legal support measures applied by the relevant authorized state body and aimed at creating favorable conditions for the correction of convicts, as well as persons who have been assigned other measures of a criminal nature, and persons released from institutions executing sentences in the form of forced labor or imprisonment.
