About the category “dignity” in the civil legal mechanism of ensuring security of the person

The article examines the category of “dignity” in the civil-law mechanism of ensuring the security of the person. The author believes that the concepts of “dignity” and “security of a person” are closely related, since when diminishing dignity it is impossible to talk about security of a person. The article defines the concept of “dignity” from the standpoint of the science of civil law, it mentions a special category — “human dignity”. The author’s definition of the concept of “dignity” is proposed and its signs are indicated.
